This past weekend, Austin received his coveted soccer trophy. He was so happy and we were so proud of him. There was face painting, cake, and even a b-boy and b-girl battle. Next year, Ava will get her own trophy!
If you get these kids on a playground, we have trouble, but in a good way. Austin, Ava, and Alexi have always been good about playing - they don't like sitting still. Ever. Pre-school season is in full swing and Ava is adapting. On the morning's of class, she'll smile when we ask her "Who has class today?" She'll have afew moments where she is looking for Mommy, but is still having fun with new friends. Austin, is learning the dynamics and hierarchy of being the preschool sophmore. They've both learned the school-good-bye song; I hope to have it recorded soon. Alexi is eating slightly more, as long as he has rice. He LOVES his rice, just rice, nothing else.
Onto the media...
We be Elmo jammin'
Bad farming season for the apple orchards, but we still made it!!!
Thank you Malinda for getting that very last apple Ava wanted
No apples, no problem. The orchard had installed gutters, filled with apples from other orchards.

With Ava at school, Austin, Alexi, and Mommy made muffins
Summer has come and gone, and according to busy Mommy, school should have started ALOT sooner. Austin starts his 2nd year, going Monday to Thursday, while Ava starts here 1st year, going Thursday and Friday. We were worried that Ava would get lost in the crowd and not know what to do without big-brother Austin around. Ends up, she did well on her 1st day! It helped that she was already comfortable in the classroom(same room Austin is in earlier in the school week); she also already knew some of the older kids. Way to go Ava! Alexi turned 2 last month and was glad he could celebrate with family and friends. Austin's summer long season wrapped up, too. Before 'Summer Staycation 2012' wrapped up, we made one last road trip to Gamma and Gampa's, to explore the Illinois State Fair. If you want anything fried to eat, thats the place to go.
[edit] it wasn't until AFTER I uploaded all of these pix, did I realize that August was REALLY busy. Multiple trips to the Zoo and Santa's Village and Auntie Elaine visited. Basically, everyday is busy for us and we enjoy it. We hope the kids do too.
Alexi's 2yr old video montage WILL be the next blog post.
This, is how we'll remember Ava, on her 1st day of preschool
Its ok, Ava was really all-smiles
It takes a village to raise a child. In our case, you only need the siblings.
This could be a very long series of pictures and video clips. Ava has no problem pulling rank on Alexi. Alexi knows that he's stuck and accepts his punishment.
Austin's 1st day of school started in rain, no problem here, he got to use his new rain gear
MMA, grappling, wrestling, judo, gymnastics - we train everything
Alexi, 1 day after slipping in the bath tub.
This was the only picture I could post from this series

EVERY ride that Ava and Alexi rode together, Ava was the older sister and looked over Alexi. She told him to keep his hands in, when to press the buttons, and when to scream.
