August, already???

The kids are fast, but this summer passing has been FASTER.  In the last month, we've gone to the beach afew times, a baseball game, and on bike rides with Daddy.  We tore it up at a block party - the kids played on a giant waterslide and feasted on cotton candy and popcorn.  Austin's soccer skills have refined(thnx Assistant Coach Emily and Mini-Coach Ava).  Along with all this fun, the kids have been doing their weekly book reports at the library and still eating their fruits and veggies.  24/7 Mommy has been doing a great job this summer; thank you Mommy Kathleen!!!

Manang Ava, comforting Alexi - it was too dark out at 7pm in the evening.  Always a great sister, patting him on the back too.

Three Amigos - waiting for freebie baseballs

Alexi was on juice box duty

Apparently, Ava was NOT terrified of the mascots, "she was trying to watch the game".  Most of the time we were there, she was THISCLOSE to Mommy's side.

Another great time with the Szczech boys

if you are in the potato chip outfit, we look out for our own

water was so deep, Ava had to piggyback onto Daddy

along with sandcastles, the beach brings out Alexi's best screaches

20 years down the road, I'm going to make them redo this picture, with the same jammies
you knew this wasn't going to end well

I went inside to get the kids drinks, I hear the kids screaming, first thing I do as I'm running outside - hit record on the iPhone video camera.  I'm still trying to figure out how wrapped themselves up.

On our bike ride around the track, we found this fenced-in pit.  Of course the kids would want to play fight in it.

At work, I don't eat donuts and play Nintendo,  I swear

Austin's 5-and-Under soccer team - Juventude.  Great bunch of kids.

The super loud ice shaving machine - best part of making halo halo with Lola Lola

Austin, flying down the water slide

Alexi, ripping and roaring inside the moon jump

Alexi really, really wanted his popcorn

At the block party, this was the only time they were still.  This was also the only time they ingested something fruit-like.

On our Saturday morning bike ride with Uncle Eric, at Ontario St Beach.

During Ava's bike ride with Daddy, she wanted Italian Ice

We found this structure on our ride around UIC, Ava wanted to dance.

At the Taste Of Chicago's free concert.  It was so wild there, this was the only picture I was able to take.  For the 20 minutes we were there, we made the best of it.
